The Special Investigation Team (SIT) police have questioned the suspended constables of the Krishnalanka police station in G. Sai Krishna’s alleged custodial death case. Head constables Ashok and Nani, and constables Sambaiah and Babu Rao, who are in judicial custody, have been grilled following the court granting five days police custody.

The SIT officers on Saturday questioned them why Sai Krishna had been taken outside instead of being produced in court, to which places he was taken, whether the NTR Police Commissionerate officers were alerted, and, if so, when, and why the victim was tortured in custody, and about his body.

However, the accused reportedly did not answer the queries and maintained silence.

Sai Krishna (25) had been arrested by NTR Commissionerate Police on May 6 and brought to Krishnalanka police station the same day. He was missing since then. The SIT had arrested Krishnalanka Circle Inspector S.S.V.V. Nagaraju, Accused No.1, and the four constables.
