The KSRTC Budget Tourism Cell has unveiled a lineup of 31 tour packages during this Onam season for travellers. Operating from August 19 to September 7, these trips cover a wide range of destinations, blending spiritual heritage, natural beauty and unique festival experiences.

A major highlight is the Pancha Pandava Temple tour, running on August 19, 29, and September 1, 7, and 11. Available for ₹910, it includes visits to five revered Vishnu temples, the iconic Aranmula Vallasadya feast, a local Aranmula mirror workshop, and the historic Thrikkakkudi Cave Temple. For those seeking a long-distance tour, the district’s first trip to Hyderabad departs from Kottarakkara on August 19. The six-day, five-night journey is priced at ₹17,950.

Scenic trips feature prominently throughout the schedule. A tour to Munnar and Kanthalloor departs on August 22, costing ₹2,450 for an itinerary complete with a jeep ride, local lunch, and AC dormitory stay. Travellers can also explore Tenkasi and Sundarapandiapuram’s vibrant sunflower fields on August 22 and September 5 for ₹1,110. Single-day excursions on August 23 feature Illikkal Kallu (₹820), Ponmudi (₹650), and Poovar boating (₹1,110). Meanwhile, trips to the Malarikkal water lily fields and surrounding attractions start on August 24 at ₹890, alongside a Rosemala-Palaruvi circuit priced at ₹520.

Special Onam day packages on August 26 bring festive cheer, offering a Ponmudi trip with traditional Onasadya for ₹875, and a Gavi eco-tour for ₹1,750, which covers entrance fees, coracle rides, and lunch. Additional departure dates cater to diverse interests, including a Nelliyampathi-Palakkad trip on August 27 for ₹2,000, Pullikkanam tours on August 27 and 30 for ₹840, and Vagamon trips on August 28 and September 4 for ₹1,020. A Kumarakom houseboat package on August 29 offers a day cruising Vembanad Lake with lunch for ₹1,780. Premium Nefertiti luxury cruise packages operate on September 6 and 26 from Kollam to Ernakulam for ₹3,840.
