According to Ukrinform, the WHO Representative Office in Ukraine announced the incident on Facebook.

The strike took place during the day on Friday, August 7.

No casualties were reported. Earlier that day, a WHO staff member and drivers had been at the site helping transport some of the medical supplies. The team managed to move 130 of approximately 300 pallets and leave the site before the strike.

The medical supplies stored at the warehouse were intended for healthcare facilities in frontline areas, primarily WHO emergency supplies.

"Damage to facilities supporting humanitarian and medical operations makes it more difficult for organizations to provide critical assistance to people and healthcare systems across the country," the organization said.

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the WHO has verified 3,148 attacks on healthcare facilities in Ukraine, which have killed 240 people and injured 1,055 others.

As Ukrinform reported, during a massive Russian attack on Kyiv and the surrounding region on the night of July 19, a warehouse used by the World Health Organization was also damaged. It contained logistical and support supplies for the organization's offices and field teams.
