Ukraine's air defense forces neutralized 46 out of 58 Russian drones of various types launched by Russia from the evening of July 20.
According to Ukrinform, the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the information on Facebook.
During the night of July 21 (beginning at 18:00 on July 20), Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 58 aerial weapons, including Shahed attack drones (including jet-powered variants), Gerbera, Italmas, Banderol loitering munitions, and Parodiya decoy drones.
The drones were launched from Kursk and Oryol in Russia, as well as from occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.
The aerial assault was repelled by Ukraine's Air Force, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare (EW) units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data as of 08:00, Ukrainian air defenses had shot down or electronically suppressed 46 enemy drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, Banderol, and other types, over the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.
Authorities confirmed that eight strike drones hit seven separate locations.
As Ukrinform previously reported, Russia carried out a drone attack on Chernihiv, striking an administrative building and injuring one person.
