An Auckland councillor has come under fire after posting photos of rundown fences from around East Auckland and urging residents to take more pride in their properties.

Howick councillor Bo Burns’ since-deleted Facebook post sparked backlash from locals who accused her of being “tone deaf” to cost-of-living pressures making home
