CALASIAO, Pangasinan – La Union incurred about P70 million in agricultural losses and damage to infrastructure and facilities following rains unleashed by tropical storms Luis and Maymay and the southwest monsoon over the past several days. A report from the provincial government showed that 1,041.36 hectares of farmland cultivated by1,546 farmers in 17 towns were flooded. The affected areas were in the towns of Santo Tomas, Pugo, Caba, Bauang, Aringay, Agoo, Luna, Bangar, San Gabriel, San Juan, Balaoan, Bacnotan, Naguilian, Sudipen, Bagulin and Rosario, as well as the City of San Fernando.
