Robbie Williams breaks silence after viral World Cup video

Robbie Williams has broken his silence on his viral World Cup blunder at the Spain vs Argentina final on Sunday (19 July).

Following his performance at the tournament’s first-ever half-time show, the singer gave his post-match analysis to German channel Magenta Sport.

Mid-interview, a small white object appeared to fall out of his mouth and onto his microphone. He then picked up the mysterious item and inadvertently rubbed it on his forehead, whilst continuing to answer questions.

Addressing the moment in an Instagram video, Williams apologised and said it was “deeply unprofessional”.

He then stuck his tongue out to show two mints in his mouth, grinning as he said: “But it’s ok, because I had several more.” The singer captioned the post: “Feeling mint.”
