According to Ukrinform, the head of state announced this on Facebook.

“Work has been underway since last night to address the aftermath of the Russian strike in Zaporizhzhia. The city was hit by North Korean ballistic missiles, ‘Zircons,’ and guided bombs. It was a brutal attack, calculated to inflict maximum damage specifically on civilian infrastructure. Unfortunately, as of now, six people are known to have been killed and nineteen wounded in the city. My condolences go out to their families and loved ones. Rescue workers are continuing to extinguish a fire at one of the impact sites,” Zelensky said.

According to the President, drone attacks are occurring virtually every day in communities near the front lines. In Kherson and Kharkiv, substations were hit overnight, resulting in power outages.

Zelensky noted that all emergency services are working to restore power to households. Attacks also targeted the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions. In addition to missiles, more than 120 drones were deployed across Ukraine, most of them “Shahed” jet drones.

“Every move Russia makes—increasing ballistic missile production, enlisting North Korean resources, preparing for mobilization—all of this shows that Moscow is preparing not for peace, but for escalation. And the world needs to respond now, not wait. More sanctions pressure specifically targeting companies supporting Russia’s war effort, more air defense assistance for Ukraine—all of this is necessary for peace to have a chance,” the head of state emphasized.

As reported, Russian troops carried out 938 strikes on 58 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region over the past 24 hours; six people were killed and another 52 were wounded as a result of attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district.
