ILOILO CITY — More than 200 passengers, drivers and cargo helpers were stranded at ports in the Visayas and Southern Tagalog on Tuesday afternoon, August 11, as the southwest monsoon, or habagat, continued to disrupt sea travel. The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), in its maritime safety advisory covering noon to 4 p.m., reported that 221 passengers, truck drivers and cargo helpers, 61 rolling cargoes, one vessel and two motorbancas were stranded across 10 affected ports.
