PBA: DeQuan Jones suffers gruesome leg injury during NLEX-TNT game

ANTIPOLO—NLEX import DeQuan Jones suffered a gruesome right leg injury during the third quarter of his team’s 2026 PBA Governors’ Cup game against TNT on Tuesday here.

Jones landed awkwardly before his leg got crushed inadvertently by a falling Tropang 5G center Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser with 7:27 left in the third quarter of the game held at Ynares Center.

PBA and medical staff were quick to place Jones on a stretcher before he was taken to the hospital by ambulance as both teams and the crowd were left stunned by the incident.

While initially screaming in pain, Jones would eventually calm down and later gestured a thumbs-up sign to the crowd as he left the venue.

NLEX players later circled at center court and offered a prayer for Jones.

Jones had been one of the reasons behind NLEX’s strong run in the initial phase of the group stage.

Before the injury, Jones had already notched 23 points and four rebounds for the Road Warriors against the Tropang 5G.
