SAN ILDEFONSO, Ilocos Sur — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has sent 2,668 ready-to-eat food (RTEF) packs to local governments in Ilocos Sur as additional assistance for families affected by the southwest monsoon, or “habagat,” and recent tropical storms Luis and Maymay. The DSWD Field Office 1 on Tuesday, Aug. 11, said the food packs were allocated to 14 local government units in the province’s second district that were severely affected by heavy rains and flooding.
