DOHA, August 11. /TASS/. The Yemeni Houthi rebels from the Ansar Allah movement launched a second missile attack on the commercial vessel Tihama in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait amid ongoing evacuation efforts, according to the Yemeni Ministry of Transport.

"While rescuers were attempting to reach the vessel's crew and evacuate the wounded, the Houthis fired another missile in an apparent attempt to disrupt the rescue operation," the ministry stated. During this second attack, one member of the rescue team was injured. The vessel had previously been struck by three ballistic missiles, which resulted in the tragic deaths of four sailors.

On July 20, the Houthis declared a naval blockade against Saudi Arabia, which was followed by attacks on several Saudi oil tankers. In response to the escalating violence, Saudi Arabia and several other nations announced the formation of a new maritime coalition aimed at safeguarding freedom of navigation in the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
