The Professional Pickleball Association Asian Tour completed the 7th event on its 2026 slate last weekend, and its second in pickleball-crazy Vietnam, for the 2026 MB Ho Chi Minh City Open. This 500-level event counts big for the PPA’s newly installed World Pickleball Rankings, and we’re now starting to see Asia-based pros really make big moves up the global rankings

Let’s do a quick recap of the results, highlighting the winners, the upsets, and the top players who made waves.
Men’s Pro Singles Recap
Vietnam’s Luc Pham put a stop to the freight train that is Hong kit “Jack” Wong, who had won the last three PPA Asia singles titles, beating him in the semis. However, Pham couldn’t top traveling singles specialist Adam Harvey in the final, who finished off a dominant event by taking the gold 4,4. Wong ended up losing the bronze to Hien Truong, who you might remember as being the guy who beat Federico Staksrud (currently ranked No. 2 in singles on the PPA) back in April.
Women’s Pro Singles Recap
Andie Dikosavljevic, who has won nine women’s pro singles titles on the PPA Australia tour dating to March 2025, took a rare flight across the South China sea to compete in the Asian tour. For her troubles, she avoided top seed Yufei Long from the top half of the draw (she withdrew from singles), then gutted out a 3-game win over first-time PPA Asia medalist Trang Huynh in the final. This is Andie’s first ever PPA Asia medal.
Mixed Pro Doubles Recap
No. 2 Lingwei Kong & Hong kit Wong beat No. 1 Nok Yiu Tang & Eunggwon Kim for the final, representing the third time that Tang & Kim have come up just short of gold in Pro mixed in the last season.
Men’s Pro Doubles Recap
Hien Truong & Quan Do got back to the top of the podium for the first time on the Asian tour since June, topping Collin Johns Hoang Nam Ly in the final. Johns, who is in Asia providing pickleball training & education for coaches, throughout the Pacific Rim, now has four medals since May in Men’s Doubles on tour as he does double duty of playing and teaching. Johns & Ly beat the top seeds Eunggwon Kim & Hong Kit Wong in the semis; they settled for Bronze.
Women’s Pro Doubles Recap
After getting a walkover to avoid playing her playing partner, Dikosavljevic teamed with Yufei Long to win the doubles title together. They beat Nok Yiu Tang & Xaio Yi Wang-Beckvall in the final to give Dikosavljevic the double.

Next up for the PPA International tours? According to my Master Pickleball Schedule, in two weeks’ time they head back to China for the 2026 Shenzhen Open. With the MLP season winding down and a small gap to the beginning of the US domestic slate, we may see more traveling pros heading overseas to get some points.
