Ukrinform reports this citing Reuters, which referred to three industry sources.

According to one of the agency's sources, the facility was shut down indefinitely "while the extent of the damage and its consequences are being assessed."

On Tuesday, no volumes of liquefied gas for shipment from the Tobolsk loading point were offered for sale on the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX). Earlier in 2026, approximately 4,000 metric tons per day of a technical propane-butane mixture (LPG) were regularly sold from this location.

According to industry sources, ZapSibNeftekhim produces approximately 6 million metric tons of liquefied gas annually, accounting for about 40% of Russia's total LPG production.

Market participants noted that approximately half of the LPG produced at the facility is consumed as feedstock for petrochemical production at Sibur's integrated complex in Tobolsk.
