Person seriously injured in two-vehicle crash on SH60 near Nelson

A person has been seriously injured and another moderately hurt in a two-vehicle crash near Nelson on Wednesday.

Emergency services were called to the collision on State Highway 60, near Landsdowne Road, about 7.45am.

Police say one person was trapped in one of the vehicles and has had to be extracted.

The highway remains open.
