The flight will open in December and will operate the Landvetter-Abu Dhabi route four times a week, Swedish state-owned airport Swedavia company announced in a press release.
“This is the first direct connection between Gothenburg and the United Arab Emirates. Companies in Western Sweden conduct trade throughout Asia and many of our travellers have relatives, friends and family in the region. The new connection will strengthen accessibility for the region, especially to the Middle East, India and Southeast Asia,” said Mats Johannesson, CEO of Swedavia in the press release.
