The physical edition of Stardew Valley for the Nintendo Switch 2 includes the original Switch version and a Switch 2 upgrade pack. With the pack, players can take advantage of exclusive features, such as mouse controls, local split-screen multiplayer for up to four players, and online multiplayer for up to eight players. It also includes Game Share, which allows the owner of the game to invite up to three players for a gaming session. The cartridge contains the v1.6 update, so fans will have to download any other patches that may come out in the meantime.

This physical edition is perfect for new players, as it includes an 18-page manual with a map and information about all the basics needed to master the Valley. Collectors won't want to miss out on it either, as it is a beautiful addition to any collection. However, players who already own the physical version of Stardew Valley might want to skip this purchase, as the game manual appears to be the same and the Switch 2 upgrade pack is available for free on the eShop. Therefore, the only difference between the two is the console shown on the box — and, of course, the price tag.

While the physical edition of Stardew Valley for the original Switch costs $35, the Switch 2 edition is $39.
