The Beach Boys have canceled a slew of summer concerts, including multiple planned state fair appearances, according to local reports.

The band — whose frontman Brian Wilson died in June 2025 — is in the midst of the “Endless Summer Gold” tour, with shows scheduled through November. However, performances between July 23 and September 3 have now reportedly been canceled.

“Playing for you is the highlight of our summer every year — especially as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States while saluting the 60th Anniversary of Pet Sounds,” the band said in a statement posted to the websites of multiple venues affected by the cancelations.

“We’ve been having a blast out there, and to keep the good vibrations going strong, we’ll be taking a short break to recharge before getting back on the road in September. Thanks for your understanding — we can’t wait to see you back out there.”

Multiple state fairs have been impacted by the cancelations, including Wisconsin, Indiana, Oregon, Alaska and Colorado.

The Independent has contacted representatives for the band for comment.

Some of the canceled dates have already been rescheduled; others remain listed as to be announced on ticket sites.

But for some performances that were slated for hours or days from now, there won’t be a new date.

“While we are disappointed that The Beach Boys have postponed their tour, we wish them all the best as they take time to recharge. At this time, we will not be rescheduling The Beach Boys' performance at Bethel Woods, and all tickets will be refunded automatically,” a statement from the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts read in part.

The Beach Boys were slated to play the venue Friday.

Ticket holders should automatically receive refunds depending on point of purchase.

Founded in 1961, The Beach Boys originally included brothers Brian, Carl, and Dennis Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine. Several others have come and gone, including guitarist David Marks, who played on the band’s first four albums but left shortly after. Bruce Johnston joined in 1965, replacing Brian Wilson, who had stepped away to focus on studio work, and has remained with the band since.

Johnston only announced his retirement from touring with the band earlier this year, telling Rolling Stoneit was “time for part three of my lengthy musical career.”

“I am excited to join the Beach Boys for performances on special occasions and will see everyone at the Hollywood Bowl as we celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday!” he said. “This isn’t goodbye, it’s see you soon. I am forever grateful to be a part of the Beach Boys musical legacy.”

Actor and musician John Stamos also joins the band at certain tour stops.
