MANILA, Philippines — A day after ordering up to 20 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners, Philippine Airlines (PAL) signed an agreement with Airbus to buy nine more A350-1000 aircraft, with an option for five additional jets, to expand its widebody fleet. PAL to this date remains the sole Southeast Asian carrier to operate the A350-1000, which it uses on its international routes, including nonstop flights from Manila to New York and Toronto.
