Vice Ganda, who is non-binary and has not made any preference as to his preferred pronouns, currently serves as one of the main hosts of ABS-CBN’s “It’s Showtime,” which also airs on GMA-7’s noontime slot.
The new partnership, referred to as the VG X MQ venture, is signed with a contract of two years during which Vice Ganda will produce a variety of content for TV5 and MQuest’s other media and digital platforms.
Pangilinan said that MQuest is offering Vice Ganda something “bigger and better” that are all fitting for her exceptional talents.
“You have built an exceptional career with your exceptional talents. On your own, you have built a distinctive brand, an audience that is not only nationwide, but goes beyond the shores of the Philippines, in a career that very few people in this room can match. This event completes the elevation of Vice Ganda to the title of Queen of All Networks,” said MVP.

Vice Ganda also recalled Pangilinan telling her, “We have what you don’t have, but you have what we don’t have,” referring to the financial capacity of the network and her mass appeal which they each bring to the collaboration.
Asked what kind of content the audiences can expect from her, the “It’s Showtime” host said he and the management are currently working on it.

“To be honest, wala pa, hindi ko pa alam. It’s too early to tell. Pero marami na akong ideas and I’m really excited na maupuan namin ito soon,” he said.
Vice Ganda, who recently renewed his longtime partnership with ABS-CBN, was also glad that her home network welcomed his new collaboration with MQuest.
“Pinayagan naman nila ako dahil nauunawaan nila ang layunin namin sa partnership na ito and that is to further strengthen TV, to offer more content for audiences. Given that ABS-CBN shares the same vision naman din that we want to continue giving life to TV,” he said.
Vice Ganda also admitted that he had second thoughts accepting MQuest’s offer after TV5 removed “It’s Showtime” from its lineup in 2023.
“Inaamin ko medyo sumama loob ko pero diba in this industry naman we don’t burn bridges. So ako, dahil nagustuhan ko ang layunin nila, I eventually said yes,” he said.
“I allowed myself to heal muna. Parang valid naman siguro kung nagtampo ako. Pero I did not close doors. I did not burn bridges. Sabi ko nga, there was never a time na binad-mouth ko ‘yung TV5 after that,” added the actor.
The comedian also clarified that he does not have ill-feelings toward Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon (TVJ) during the TV shows’ ‘slot changes.
“Wala akong sama ng loob sa TVJ, ha. TVJ has nothing to do with it. Wala naman akong relationship or deal with them. Hindi naman sila ‘yung nakasakit sa akin,” he said. /ra
