Last week, Charli XCX invaded Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, the main ranking of the most popular tunes in those styles throughout the United States. While she is primarily known as a pop and electronic dance artist, Charli ventured more into rock for her latest album, Music, Fashion, Film – which even includes a single titled “Rock Music.”
Seven tracks by Charli appeared on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs roster only a few days ago, and this frame, nearly all of them have disappeared. Only “Camera,” which launched at No. 19, holds on, while several other recent singles, including “Wink Wink” and “SS26” fall away. Her declining domination makes room for a number of rock favorites to return, and one superstar clearly benefits the most.
Noah Kahan Brings Four Hits Back to the Same Chart
Four tunes by Noah Kahan return to the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart this week. He is one of half a dozen artists that find their way back to the rundown, which is now not nearly as packed with Charli cuts. Kahan reenters at Nos. 46, 47, 48 and 50 with “A Few of Your Own,” “All Them Horses,” “23” and “We Go Way Back,” respectively.
Noah Kahan and Steve Lacy Score Multiple Returns
Kahan is one of only two artists to see multiple hits return to the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs tally this week. Steve Lacy also bounces back onto the ranking with two tracks. “Oh Yeah” reenters at No. 10, while “Nothing” – both of which are featured on his recently-released albumOh Yeah? – returns much lower at No. 43.
Four other artists — Cage the Elephant, Malcolm Todd, Role Model and Tame Impala — also break back onto the roster simultaneously with a single tune apiece.
Noah Kahan Fills 17 Positions on the Same Chart
Kahan is the most successful name on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart this week, with an incredible 17 of his tracks present on the list. That is a little more than twice as many as the runner-up in terms of most spaces occupied. Olivia Rodrigo claims eight hits, thanks to the many popular tracks featured on her latest album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love.
Noah Kahan’s “Orbiter” Rises to a New Peak
“Orbiter,” Kahan’s highest-ranking hit on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart this week, climbs from No. 7 to No. 6. That marks a new high point for the single from his album The Great Divide. No other track from the release reaches a never-before-experienced height.

“Dan” breaks back onto the Hot Rock Songs tally at No. 25. Meanwhile, “End of August” – which may become much more popular in just a few weeks as the calendar catches up with its title – returns to the Hot Alternative Songs ranking at No. 25 after missing the list entirely last frame.
Noah Kahan’s “Orbiter” Hits Five New Peaks
“Orbiter” rises to never-before-seen heights on five of the Billboard rankings where it makes a home this week. In addition to reaching No. 6 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, the single climbs to No. 4 on the Hot Rock Songs ranking and No. 6 on the Hot Alternative Songs tally.
The same track is steady at No. 7 on both the Rock Streaming Songs and Alternative Streaming Songs lists, even as it declines on several busier rankings.
Noah Kahan Scores His Third Alternative Radio Top 10
At the same time that “Orbiter” reaches multiple new peaks on various rosters, “Doors” gives Kahan another important radio win. The track jumps from No. 11 to No. 8 on the Alternative Airplay chart, breaking into the top 10 for the first time. As it lifts, “Doors” becomes Kahan’s third career top 10 smash on the radio-focused roster.
