Seven people were killed and several others injured after water and debris entered an under-construction tunnel at a hydroelectric project site in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. Rescue teams from the Army, ITBP, NDRF and SDRF were deployed to evacuate trapped workers. The incident comes amid heavy rainfall in the region.
