Olympic and professional skateboarder Danny León shared a stunning Instagram video of himself performing skating tricks with the solar eclipse last August 12 in the background.

The breathtaking moment combines his passion for skateboarding with the rare celestial event, creating a striking backdrop as he pulls off his tricks.

“First the sun, then the moon, and today we make history with this eclipse,” León wrote in the post.

Daniel León Vallarino, known as Danny León, is a Spanish skateboarder who has competed in several skateboarding events since 2017, including the World Skateboarding Championships.

The eclipse — a first in mainland Europe since 2006 — cast its shadow through parts of Greenland, racing south to smother Keflavik, some 50 kilometres (30 miles) from Iceland’s capital, Reykjavik, before arcing across the Atlantic Ocean towards northern Spain.
