Saavedra said the first-half performance matched the company’s financial goals for the year.
“We are seeing the benefits of initiatives we started last year, which will complement the ramp-up of our construction activities and progress on our expanded 4PH portfolio toward the end of the year,” he said.
Consolidated revenues were nearly flat at P8.70 billion from P8.60 billion a year earlier. Construction remained Megawide’s largest revenue contributor at P6.63 billion.
Real estate revenues under PH1 World Developers Inc., meanwhile, surged 67 percent to P1.79 billion. Revenues from landport operations through the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange increased by 28 percent to P278 million.
Megawide reported gross profit of P2.17 billion and operating profit of P1.28 billion during the period.

Megawide is increasing its involvement in the government’s expanded Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino, or 4PH, program.
The company recently topped off Tower 1 at Avesta Residences in Imus, Cavite, its first 4PH project, after 10 months of construction. They also aim to top off another 4PH development in Dasmariñas, Cavite, before the end of August.
Still, Megawide’s construction order book stood at P45.7 billion as of end-June.
The portfolio includes end-user-focused residential projects; high-value, big-ticket private commercial, industrial and infrastructure contracts; and socialized housing projects under the expanded 4PH program. /pai
