A Zamfara family has appealed for prayers and urgent assistance after bandits reportedly refused to release a man, Isihaka (Isau), despite collecting N2.5 million in ransom.

According to security analyst Bakatsine, Isihaka, an indigene of Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, was kidnapped along the Birnin Gwari Road in Kaduna State while travelling to seek work and support his family.

“This is Isihaka (Isau), an indigene of Maru LGA, Zamfara State, who left home to seek a living and provide for his wife, children, parents and other family members,” Bakatsine said.

“Sadly, he was kidnapped by bandits along the Birnin Gwari road in Kaduna State. His family and friends struggled to raise N2.5m, which was paid as ransom, but his captors have still refused to release him.”

Bakatsine said Isihaka had already spent several days in captivity after the ransom was paid.

He also shared a photograph showing Isihaka with another suspected victim of the same group. The two men appeared to be sitting in a forest, while one of them had chains around his ankles.
