A suspicious object, preliminarily identified as part of a drone, was found near a lifeguard station on Costinești beach on Friday morning.
Police and gendarmerie officers quickly arrived at the scene and established a security perimeter around the hazardous area.

Specialists are carrying out the necessary checks to identify the object precisely, according to the report.
The previous day, August 13, a similar alert had already been issued in the area after an object was found floating in the water near the breakwater. The object was examined by military divers and explosive ordnance specialists from the Romanian Navy, who determined that the unmanned aerial vehicle did not contain explosives.
As Ukrinform previously reported, on Thursday, August 13, drone fragments of an unidentified type were discovered near the Romanian village of Costinești.
