First fully electric power station to open soon in Pasay City

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines’ first fully electric power station, The Power Station by CarBEV, broke ground in Pasay City, near the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) last August 8, 2026.

This facility can serve 500 battery electric vehicles (BEVs) daily and will be fully operational by the end of August.

CarBEV is an electric mobility company in the Philippines. They launched last year with a goal to deploy an all-electric fleet and partner with transport network vehicle service (TNVS) platforms.

CarBEV CEO Christian Bradley attributed the move to the recent State of the Nation Address (SONA) by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

During the SONA, Marcos said that part of the government’s goal is to have half of the cars in the country run on EVs by 2040.

“The direction from the government is clear. The Philippines is moving toward electric mobility, and now the private sector has to build the infrastructure to support that transition,” said Bradley during the groundbreaking ceremony.

“This is only the beginning,” Bradley added. “Our goal is to make the transition to electric transportation commercially viable and scalable for Filipino transport operators. We want to build an ecosystem where operators can confidently go electric because the infrastructure is there to support them.”

The ceremony was attended by Atty. Peter D. Pardo from the Pasay City Local Government Unit, DTI-PPPI Chairman Winston “Winnie” Castelo; and Board of Investments (BOI) Representative Elvin Raymond Garcia.

Joining Bradley to represent CarBEV are COO Jomel Paradero, Board Directors Lhai Santiago and Lhea Paradero, and CFO Samir Patel.
