Security forces killed 10 terrorists and injured several others during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan's Khuzdar, state media reported on Saturday.
In a post on X, state broadcaster PTV News said the operation was conducted in the mountainous Shor Parod range based on intelligence reports about the presence of Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists.
The terrorists were present in three small groups, it said, adding that an intense exchange of fire took place between the security forces and the militants.
“Ten terrorists were killed and several others injured during the exchange,” it added.
Fitna al-Hindustan is the term used by the state for terrorists belonging to the banned Balochistan Liberation Army and other groups in the province.
Following the operation, security forces intensified search and clearance operations in the area and launched a search for the terrorists who managed to flee.
The post said security forces vowed to continue the pursuit until the last terrorist was eliminated and to take all necessary measures to bring the militants to their “logical end”.

President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to the security forces for the successful intelligence-based operation.
He said the timely action against the terrorists’ hideouts was a testament to the professional expertise of the security forces.

The president said the pursuit of anti-state terrorist elements must continue until their complete elimination.
He also lauded the sacrifices and resolve of the security forces in thwarting what he described as the “nefarious designs” of Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also paid tribute to the security forces.
He said the operation against what he called “enemies of humanity” demonstrated the professional capabilities of the security forces.

PM Shehbaz said the entire nation stood alongside the security forces in the fight against terrorism and remained determined to eliminate the menace from the country.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended the forces' professionalism and courage, adding that they had achieved notable successes against Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists and their facilitators.

“Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists and their facilitators will find no place to hide,” Naqvi said.
He said the nation stood shoulder to shoulder with the security forces in the fight to eliminate terrorism.
Although Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has borne the brunt of terrorism, Balochistan has also remained a major target of Indian proxies, which often target civilians and military installations in the province.
In one such attack on the last day of 2025, terrorists targeted innocent civilians in Balochistan’s Gwadar and Kharan districts, where 18 people, including women, children, the elderly and labourers, embraced martyrdom.
The forces have continued operations across the provinces against what the state describes as Indian-sponsored terrorists and their proxies, but despite these efforts, the groups have continued to target civilian and defence installations.
Earlier this month, at least 30 people, including 27 police personnel, were martyred when terrorists identified by the state as the Indian proxy Fitna al-Hindustan ambushed police personnel deployed in the Kach Mangi Phase III area of Ziarat, triggering hours-long gun battles. The attackers also abducted several civilians and police personnel after the assault.
In the aftermath of the attack, the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps and Balochistan Police launched a joint operation, which remains underway, with forces intensifying action against terrorists across the province.
