WATCH: Lea Salonga reunites with fellow Disney Princesses at D23 event
Disney fans have been transported to a magical time after Lea Salonga reunited with fellow Disney Princess performers to sing iconic Disney tracks at the “Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration” in Anaheim, California on Friday, Aug. 14.
Salonga, who donned a kimono-style ornate teal gown, performed “A Whole New World” from “Aladdin” with American singer Brandy, who played the titular character in the 1997 television film “Cinderella.”
Salonga, a Disney Legend and the original singing voice of Jasmine in “Aladdin” (1992) and Mulan in “Mulan” (1998), also performed “Reflection,” one of the most popular songs from “Mulan.”

The concert, held as part of D23 Day at Disneyland Resort, brought together what Disney described as its largest gathering of Disney Princess talent, with some performers appearing together for the first time.
Aside from Salonga, among those who took part were Disney Legend Paige O’Hara, Susan Egan, Disney Legend Jodi Benson, Halle Bailey, Auli’i Cravalho, Catherine Laga’aia, Judy Kuhn, and Disney Legend Anika Noni Rose.
O’Hara, the original voice of Belle in Disney’s animated “Beauty and the Beast” (1991), performed with Egan, the original Belle in the 1994 Broadway production of “Beauty and the Beast.”
Benson, meanwhile, the original voice of Ariel, performed “Part of Your World” with Bailey, who played Ariel in the 2023 live-action film.

Cravalho, the original voice of Moana, performed “How Far I’ll Go” before joining Laga’aia, who will play Moana in the upcoming live-action film, for a performance of “Along the Way.” /edv
Kuhn, the original singing voice of Pocahontas, performed “Colors of the Wind,” while Rose, the original voice of Tiana in “The Princess and the Frog” (2009), performed “Almost There.”

The concert opened with Brandy performing “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes” from “Cinderella” and concluded with the full cast performing “When You Wish Upon a Star” from “Pinocchio” (1940).
Ming-Na Wen, who provided Mulan’s speaking voice in the 1998 animated film, also attended the event and shared photos and videos from the concert on Instagram.
“Yes I’m crying and you can too. So proud of my princess sisters!! Last night was an amazing performance. I can’t wait for you all to see it,” Wen wrote in her caption. She also posted a photo of herself posing with Salonga.
The concert kicked off “D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event” and served as an opening event for World Princess Week, Disney’s annual celebration of Disney Princess stories and characters.
Fans can stream the concert on Disney+ and watch it on Disney Channel, Freeform, and “The Wonderful World of Disney” on ABC on Sunday, Aug. 16.
