Ukraine has received approximately USD 690 million from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) under a new four-year program, with the funds transferred to the state budget.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"Today, Ukraine received the second tranche of approximately USD 690 million from the IMF under the new four-year program. The funds have already been transferred to the state budget," the statement said.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the funds would be used to support macroeconomic and financial stability, including financing priority expenditures.

As reported by Ukrinform, the IMF Executive Board completed the first review of Ukraine’s new program under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF), opening the way for the release of approximately USD 690 million. Following this disbursement, total IMF financing provided to Ukraine under the new EFF program will reach about USD 2.2 billion.
