A Czech army "Venom" helicopter carrying five troops crashed on Wednesday, the country's army said on X.

According to the CTK news agency, at least one person was killed.

The crash occurred at the Air Force base Namest nad Oslavou, in the Eastern Czech Republic.

The army said emergency services were responding at the crash site.
