Rock legend Alice Cooper turned heads as he strolled through Scarborough Market Hall over the weekend.
The musician, 78 – who has a net worth of $50million – looked worlds away from his on-stage persona as he ditched the heavy make-up and costume for a leisurely shop around the stalls.
Alice and his band The Hollywood Vampires were in town to perform to a sold-out crowd of over 8,000 fans at the Scarborough Open Air Theatre.
Shop owner Julie Henderson told the Scarborough News: 'I noticed him outside my door and then he just wandered in, I instantly thought 'Wow! Alice Cooper is in my shop'.
'He was really nice, lovely to talk to, very down to earth. He allowed me to take a picture of him modelling one of my Art Tote bags he had just purchased.'
Fans wrote on Facebook: 'Walking past my artwork. What a buzz' and 'Love this and a nice bit of normality for him'.

'What a legend and great to see him supporting the local businesses.'
Alice, famous for hits 'School's Out' and 'Godfather of Shock Rock', formed the supergroup The Hollywood Vampires with Johnny Depp, Aerosmith's Joe Perry and Tommy Henriksen back in 2015.
Since the inception of Hollywood Vampires, the group has also, at one point, performed with and included: Brad Whitford, Buck Johnson, Bruce Witkin, Duff McKagan, Robert DeLeo, Chris Wyse, Glen Sobel and Matt Sorum.
The group performs covers of legendary hits helmed by artists – such as The Who, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and The Doors.
They also perform original songs penned by Johnny and his bandmates.
The band name was originally inspired by and derives from a celebrity drinking club named The Hollywood Vampires that was formed by Cooper in the '70s.
Though Johnny is primarily known as a star of the silver screen, the actor is evidently talented on the guitar and has been playing for decades.
Back in the day, he dropped out of high school to pursue his dream of becoming a rock star and, coincidentally, became a Hollywood star.
