SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — Public and private schools in Zambales will shift to alternative learning, while government offices will adopt alternative work arrangements on Tuesday, Aug. 18, amid continuing rains brought by the southwest monsoon. Local governments in the municipalities of San Marcelino, Palauig, Masinloc, and Candelaria, as well as nearby Olongapo City, have suspended face-to-face classes at all levels in public and private schools. Schools in these areas were advised to use online, modular, or other alternative learning programs to ensure continuity of learning. Government offices in the same towns will adopt work-from-home arrangements.
