Once again, Ella Langley claims the bestselling song in America. “Choosin’ Texas” returns to the top spot on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart, which ranks the most-purchased tracks of any style through platforms like iTunes, Amazon and others.

Last frame, “Choosin’ Texas” was forced from the throne by Langley’s collaborator Morgan Wallen. The two released “I Can’t Love You Anymore” earlier this year, and Wallen then racked up another leader with “Been By Now,” a standalone single that performed well on a variety of tallies.

In its second turn, “Been By Now” falls, but holds inside the top 10 on the Digital Song Sales chart, allowing Langley to regain control. As “Choosin’ Texas” vaults back to No. 1, it moves up again on an all-time ranking, breaking its recently-established tie with some of the hottest hits of the past two decades.

Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” Reaches 14 Weeks at No. 1

“Choosin’ Texas” has now led the Digital Song Sales chart for 14 weeks. As it reaches that total, Langley’s smash single stands alone as the sixth-longest-running No. 1 in the history of the purchase-only ranking.

Ella Langley Breaks a Four-Way Tie

Just last week, when “Choosin’ Texas” slipped from the peak position, it seemed possible that the country smash might remain tied with three other hits for the sixth-longest reign ever. Flo Rida and T-Pain’s “Low,” “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars, and “Closer” by The Chainsmokers and Halsey all conquered the Digital Song Sales ranking for 13 weeks, and no more.

The earliest of that group reached No. 1 back in 2007, while “Closer” ruled a decade ago. Now, all three are tied as the seventh-longest-running champions, while “Choosin’ Texas” moves ahead.

Ella Langley Could Keep Climbing

During the latest tracking frame, “Choosin’ Texas” sold another 9,300 copies, according to Luminate. If the cut can manage a similar figure in the coming weeks, it could continue adding to its historic run. It may be only a matter of days before Langley ties Shaboozey, whose breakout hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” led the Digital Song Sales chart for 15 periods in 2024.

After that, each additional week at No. 1 would move “Choosin’ Texas” further up the all-time rundown. Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus dominated for 16 weeks with “Old Town Road,” while “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber managed 17 frames in charge.

BTS is responsible for the two longest-running No. 1s in Digital Song Sales chart history. Both “Dynamite” and “Butter,” which ruled in 2021 only weeks apart, held on for 18 frames.

Ella Langley Blocks Cardi B From a New No. 1

This week, “Choosin’ Texas” keeps Cardi B from scoring a ninth No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart. Her new single “AH HA” launches at No. 2, with a little more than 1,000 fewer purchases than Langley’s long-running bestseller. It becomes one of several tracks by the rapper to stall one spot shy of the throne.

Ella Langley Rules Five Billboard Charts

“Choosin’ Texas” sits at No. 1 on five Billboard charts this week, which is impressive, considering the fact that it was released in the fall of 2025. The smash returns to the peak position on the Streaming Songs, Country Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales rankings, replacing “Been By Now” in every instance. At the same time, “Choosin’ Texas” is a non-mover at the summit of both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Hot Country Songs ranking.
