Pokémon Pokopia has limited-time events that allow you to recruit special âmons to your towns. These only happen during set dates and times, so if you want to get those Pokémon, you have to either play the life sim during specific dates, or go into your Switch 2âs settings and âtime travelâ by changing your systemâs internal clock. However, a player has found a complex workaround that will allow you to recruit special Pokémon without having to wait or mess around with your systemâs circadian rhythm.
Redditor ArcadiaCitizen_ has figured out a way that you can exploit some already existing systems in Pokopia to spawn Pokémon who you usually canât find unless youâre playing during an event.Â
To pull this off, you’ll need to have the Mysterious Goggles, which allow you to access cloud islands, or areas made by other players. Once there, you can take photos and use Pokopia’s 3D printer in Pokémon Centers to essentially create most items in the game, provided you have enough Pokémetal or Rare Pokémetal for each item. Game Freak and Koei Tecmo have created a cloud island that has practically every item you can imagine in Pokopia, including items that are specific to the habitats of event Pokémon.
3D printing them will allow you to recruit monsters like the Jumpluff family, Sableye, and Jirachi, rather than having to wait until their respective events. However, you will need a Nintendo Switch Online membership to access online features. The island code ArcadiaCitizen_ was able to use is 6DXL PD6F.Â
When Pokopia first launched earlier this year, it received some criticism for having time-limited Pokémon recruitment windows, given that a lot of fans still hadnât managed to get a Switch 2 by the time the game launched in March and didnât know if they would be able to before those windows closed. Now, it seems like there are multiple ways to get around this restriction, whether the developers intended them or not.
