22 Kids and Counting star Sue Radford has asked fans to respect her privacy after revealing that a viewer came to their house and asked for a photo.

The matriarch of 'Britain's biggest family', 51, who features in Channel 5's reality show about their life, took to social media to ask followers 'not to come to their home'.

She stressed that it makes them 'uncomfortable' and poses 'a genuine safety issue'.

'I feel I need to address this again, and I really hope people can understand where we're coming from,' she wrote on Instagram.

'We absolutely love meeting people when we're out and about. We're always happy to stop for a chat, have a photo and say hello - it genuinely means a lot to us.

'However, today while we are away, one of our older children had a man knock on the door at home saying he watches us on TV and asking for a picture.'

She explained that while they 'completely understand that people recognise them and want to say hello, turning up at their home is something they are not comfortable with'.

'It really does cross a line,' Sue continued. 'Our home is our private space, and our children should be able to feel safe and comfortable there, especially when we're not at home.

'There is also a genuine safety issue. Our dog Lola is extremely protective and doesn't take kindly to people she doesn't know coming into the garden, so thankfully the dogs weren't outside today.

'We're incredibly grateful for everyone who supports our family, and we really do love meeting you when we're out and about.

'But please, we're politely asking that you don't come to our home. We're not happy with this happening and we really need our privacy to be respected.

'Thank you for understanding.'

Sue and the family have recently been enjoying a motorhome holiday in Spain, where they attended Salou Festival, a local celebration featuring music, dancing and cultural events.

Elsewhere, earlier this year in April, she and husband Noel took their brood on a weekend away in the UK.

Thanks to the British sunshine, the family enjoyed a sun-soaked trip, exploring an undisclosed beachside location, cooking up a full English breakfast in the morning and spending the rest of the day playing and relaxing outside.

'The kids have had the best day today playing and building this den, which is brilliant. We have sat in the sun chilling watching them play,' the mother-of-22 wrote on Instagram.

Sue also posted that the family had pondered a walk on the beach while she had her morning cup of tea outside.

However, the month prior, the couple sparked outrage after complaining about how their trip to Dubai was cancelled due to the war in the Middle East.

Sue said: 'Anyway, hands up, who's been having a nightmare with travelup because I think there's going to be lots of you.

'Phone line's dead so guessing they have turned them off and no response from them to emails I have commented on their Insta page, but all of our comments have been deleted... and there have been lots from very unhappy customers.'

Sue, who revealed she has since heard back from the travel company, admitted that 'she knows we are safe in this country but even if you wanted to rebook you can't because they aren't dealing with it'.

She stressed that 'the point of this post is that we do not want to rebook I would imagine lots wouldn't but this company switching phones off is not the way to go about it'.

However, commenters were still horrified by the post, adding that 'people are dying'.

'Others are hiding in hotel rooms/basements,' one added. 'And the rest are stranded, with many fearing for their lives. Your holiday dues do not matter right now.'

Some accused the pair of having 'too much cash'.

One commenter said: 'Your refund/swap is not the priority. You should have travel insurance and be Atol/Abta protected - you'll get your money. For now just sit tight and be.'

Another added: 'All you can think about is holidays when there is a war on? Unbelievable.'
