Britney Spears' mother Lynne Spears posted photos from the 'sweet summer' she spent with her grandchildren - after her superstar daughter lashed out at her for having 'secret outings' with her children years ago.

The post featured numerous photos taken with loved ones, including her many grandchildren.

From high school graduations to the X-Games, Lynne, 71, spent the summer with her 'grandbabies' Maddie, 18, Ivey, eight, and Lexie, 15.

While Britney's sons Jayden, 19, and Sean Federline, 20, were not seen with their grandmother in any of the pictures, she made sure to include pictures of their summer adventures.

'Closing out a sweet sweet summer filled with making memories with all of my grandbabies, family, & friends. My heart is full!' she captioned the post, which was uploaded on Monday.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Lynne and Britney for comment but has not yet heard back.

In the snaps, Lynne spent time with her family on the beach, attended Ivey's First Holy Communion, went to the X-Games with daughter Jamie Lynn Spears, 35, and her children, and had lunch with Lexie, the daughter of her son Bryan Spears.

Jayden and Sean weren't pictured in any of the family get-togethers but she made sure to include shout-outs to her grandsons.

The post included photos of them walking the runway at the Vetements show during Paris Fashion Week in June, along with a photo of Jayden at the Eiffel Tower with his 'beautiful girlfriend.'

Spears has long had a 'complicated' relationship with her mother, with a source claiming to Page Six in September of last year that 'Their relationship is very fragile.'

They said at the time that '[Lynne] reaches out to Britney for the most part,' and the two 'talk and text every few weeks.'

The source claimed in September that there were no imminent plans for her and Britney to have a face-to-face reunion.

Their relationship appeared to reach its nadir around 2021, when Spears claimed that, even though her father Jamie Spears had overseen her restrictive conservatorship for years, it was allegedly her mother who had suggested the idea of creating the arrangement.

'I will never get those years back,' Spears said in 2021, before claiming that her mother 'secretly ruined my life.'

However, Spears has also expressed hopes to work things out with her mother as well.

'After no coffee for 15 years … Mom we can go have coffee together now !!! I’m treated as an equal … let’s have coffee and talk about it !!' she wrote to Instagram in 2022.

They also notably reunited in 2023, with a photo showing them cozying up on a couch.

The new post comes after Britney lashed out at her parents for spending time with her sons 'in secret' years earlier.

'The whole summer … I look back now and I remember my dad not letting me go to a diner ever again to eat a hamburger with a new extremely cool friend I had found cuz all the attention I got from the paps after being held in my home for 4 months offended him,' she vented.

'The pictures I saw of my mom and dad in secret on the beach the whole summer with my children every weekend … I wondered why I wasn't a part of their cool secret outings.

'I felt demoralized to live in a country where it was accepted for people like my mom and dad to live secret lives with my children … It was demoralizing,' she repeated, adding: 'I honestly went to my knees and cried for two months.'

Britney was married Federline in 2004 and welcomed their two sons shortly thereafter before the couple called it quits just three years later. Their divorce was finalized in July 2007 with the couple agreeing to split custody of their young children; pictured in July 2013

Spears filed for divorce from her sons' father, Kevin Federline, in November 2006, just eight weeks after welcoming their second child.

Spears was famously placed under court-ordered conservatorship in February 2008 after a series of public mental health crises, hospitalizations and intense media scrutiny.

She was largely controlled by her father during that time.

But 13 years later, Spears' conservatorship ended in November 2021 following pressure from the #FreeBritney movement and Jamie's suspension as conservator, in addition to the pop star's own court testimony about the abuse she suffered while under her father's control.
