SEOUL, Aug. 19 (Yonhap) -- South Korean beauty tech firm APR Corp. said Wednesday it aims to achieve 500 billion won (US$355 million) in sales in Europe this year, helped by robust sales of cosmetic products.
In the first half of the year, its European sales jumped more than fourfold to 228.9 billion won from 49.5 billion won a year earlier, the company said in a press release.
The strong performance came after APR opened online stores on Amazon in major European markets, including Britain, France and Germany, late last year, the company said.
In March, APR began selling Korean cosmetics products made by Kolmar, Cosmax, Nordinary and Ancors in 17 European markets through French beauty retailer Sephora, it said.
APR, founded in 2014, posted 1.36 trillion won in sales in the first half, compared with 1.52 trillion won for all of last year.
