A new Trial USA miniseries has launched, taking you inside the courtroom for the biggest moments of Lindsay Clancy's murder trial.

Clancy, 36, has admitted strangling her three children Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and eight-month-old Callan, but has denied three counts of first-degree murder arguing she was suffering from suffering from postpartum psychosis and cannot be held criminally responsible.

The Crime Desk’s Rachel Sharp has been covering every single day of the trial in Plymouth, Massachusetts, keeping our readers up to date with live reports and filing video roundups from the scene.

Rachel and will now be joined by Trial USA host Kayla Brantley twice a week to record a special podcast miniseries.

Clancy, 36, admits strangling her three children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and eight-month-old Callan, after her then husband Patrick left the family home to collect food and medication

However, the maternity nurse denies three counts of first degree murder, arguing she was suffering from postpartum psychosis and cannot be held criminally responsible

Listeners will be walked through every minute of the drama and offered expert analysis by our journalists who have unrivalled knowledge of the case.

In the first episode, released today, Rachel and Kayla will discuss the prosecution's argument, built across four weeks of evidence, and the moments where Clancy's lawyer picked it apart.

This includes analysis of the testimony of Patrick Clancy, the maternity nurse's ex-husband, who has publicly forgiven her for the deaths of their children and has begun legal action against her medical providers.

He told the court he left the house at Lindsay's request. Returning, he found the bedroom door locked, blood across the room and the window open. His then wife was in the backyard below, lying face up with a damaged spine.

Patrick said Lindsay told him she had tried to kill herself. He asked where the children were. She replied: 'In the basement.'

He stayed with her until first responders arrived. Once they were treating her, he went down and found Cora and eight-month-old Callan lying side by side, exercise bands tied around their necks. Dawson was in his office, a band around his neck too.

Cora and Dawson were pronounced dead that evening. Callan was flown to Boston Children's Hospital but died three days later.

They read excerpts from Clancy's diaries, where she wrote about her obsession with her son's sleep schedule and kept track of the medications she was taking

Prosecutors also pointed to Google searches Clancy made five days before the killings, when she looked up the symptoms of postpartum psychosis, arguing they showed a woman clear headed enough to research the very condition her lawyers now say gripped her.

They also read excerpts from her diaries, where she wrote about her obsession with her son's sleep schedule and kept track of the medications she was taking.

Prosecutors argue the writing shows a woman thinking clearly about her own condition. Clancy’s lawyers say the same pages show a mother in genuine distress.
