“FPS games have been a cornerstone of the industry for more than three decades, building one of the biggest and most dedicated player communities in gaming," explained Joe Brammer, CEO of Bulkhead. "Yet that audience is underserved when it comes to a dedicated place for news, updates and new game reveals. The FPS Games Show aims to change that by bringing studios together to showcase their work, support one another and celebrate our collective love of the genre. It’s about giving FPS games, and the players who are passionate about them, a show of their own.”
Howard Philpott, the UI/UX director at Bulkhead, gave a little more insight into the show in a separate video by explaining that standard gaming showcases may only have one or two games that appeal to FPS players. TBrammer and Philpott claim in the video that the cost of featuring in one of those shows is $300,000 for a 60-second trailer, which led them to decide to make their own show.
The showcase is being supported by Steam too, with the platform hosting a "dedicated third-party platform event featuring selected titles, including discounts, free demos, and free weekends." You can read more about The FPS Games Show on the official site.
