George directed officials to take immediate steps for the comprehensive development and renovation of major tourism and cultural destinations including Bal Bhavan, KSTDC’s Mayura Hotel, Government Museum and Venkatappa Art Gallery. This will be done with the objective of providing a better experience to children, families, and tourists.

“Bal Bhavan and the Bengaluru Government Museum are important public and cultural destinations in Bengaluru. Along with providing children with better facilities and quality food, there is a need to bring our historical heritage closer to the people. I have directed officials to upgrade the Mayura Hotel at a cost of around ₹2 crore and complete the renovation of the Government Museum within six months,” he said.

Mr. George directed officials to comprehensively upgrade the KSTDC Mayura Hotel at an estimated cost of ₹2 crore. The Minister also stated that the hotel should be developed as a model for other KSTDC hotels. As part of the proposed restaurant upgrade, Mr. George also discussed extension of the lease with the chairman of Bal Bhavan.
