Celtic have put themselves in a commanding position in their Champions League qualifying play-off after a 3-0 win against Austrian champions Lask at Parkhead on Wednesday 19th August.
Two goals from new signing Camilo Duran, with one from Benjamin Nygren, in their home game. With two goals before half-time, Celtic started the second half commanding, with the final goal arriving swiftly before the end of the game.
Despite the 3-0 scoreline, the match was a tight affair with Lask having more shots on target at 9 to Celtic's 7 and more attempts on goal (19 to Celtic's 15). Lask had two goals ruled out for offside, and it was a busy night for the Celtic goalkeeper, who made an impressive nine saves to Lask's four.
The result leaves Celtic in a strong position heading into the second leg in Ried next Tuesday, needing to avoid a heavy defeat to secure passage into the Champions League.
