Police located the alleged offender in the area and arrested a 20-year-old man.

Robson said the man was charged with aggravated robbery and would appear in the Papakura District Court today.

Recent spate of robberies

Last night’s arrest follows four other arrests for two aggravated robberies on July 12.

Robson said a 39-year-old man was charged over an aggravated robbery at a Meadowlands bar.

Late last week, three teenagers, aged 16, 17 and 18, were also charged for an aggravated robbery at a Clendon Park fruit and vegetable store.

“These offences have all been against local businesses, and our investigators continue to work hard to hold those responsible to account,” Robson said.
