US President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday what he described as "the most crushing economic operation ever taken against any country."

"This will be Economic Warfare and Isolation on an unprecedented scale," Trump posted on Truth Social, accusing Iran of failing to take the opportunity to make a deal.

Trump also âwarned â of economic consequences against any country that âsupported âTehran or provided "any âtype of lifeline âto Iran."

"ANY country that allows its financial institutions, businesses, â airports, âor government entities to provide any âtype of lifeline to Iran âwill itself face TREMENDOUS Economic Consequences," Trump said.

Claiming that this will be "an ECONOMIC D-DAY," he urged allies to stand with the United States to "isolate, and defeat, the Iran threat."

He â did â not specify what âspecific steps âWashington âwould take against such a âcountry and â did not list any country by â name.
