If you're happening by a Best Buy store this weekend, specifically on August 22, then I'd highly recommend heading on in and checking out this brand-new promotion the retailer has on as part of its 60th Anniversary sale event.

For one day only, savvy shoppers can purchase a $100 Best Buy gift card for just $60. I don't need to be the one to tell you just how good that is, but I'll do it anyway. It's basically free cash, especially if you are already a frequent shopper at Best Buy, or were planning to make a purchase there soon.

Unsurprisingly, this is in limited quantities and is restricted to just one per customer. Best Buy also states that customers should aim to "arrive at the store early" to avoid disappointment, and each store "will have a line management system in place and will provide tickets to customers" if needed on the day.

As per Best Buy's online store, the special "in-store event" will also feature deals on Apple products like MacBook computers, Beats headphones, and a limited Pokémon TCG drop for First Partner Illustration Collection Boxes and Mega Evolution Pitch Black sealed products, and more, stock depending.

All of which will likely be available at MSRP, which a considerable bargain compared to how much Pokémon TCG costs to buy from other retailers like Amazon, or resale marketplaces like TCGplayer or eBay.

While Best Buy hasn't confirmed MSRP pricing just yet, there is a high likelyhood that any Pokémon TCG drops will be close or near standard pricing.

For example, a standard $50-60 Elite Trainer Box for Pitch Black is currently $70 at Amazon (which isn't that bad, to be completely honest). But, when the First Partner Illustration Collection Boxes can reach anywhere from $50-$100 at TCGplayer, when the MSRP is $15, you can see why this is such a big deal.

In the meantime Best Buy continues its 60th Anniversary sale online all the way through August 23. There are some standout offers up for grabs, as you can see just above, otherwise, feel free to take a look and browse the full sale yourself.
