“We have a fantastic group of players and an exciting future ahead of us. I am proud to continue the journey and fight for this shirt,” Daga said.

The Nigeria youth international added that Molde’s ambitions and his desire for continued development were major factors behind his decision to extend his stay.

“There are many exciting things happening in Molde that I want to be part of. At the same time, I feel this is the right place for me to continue my development.

“I would like to thank the club, the support staff and the supporters. Now I am looking forward to what comes next,” he added.

Daga joined Molde ahead of the 2025 season and has so far made 22 official appearances for the club, scoring five goals and providing one assist.

His performances in recent weeks have further underlined his potential, with the midfielder producing several impressive displays and showcasing his growing influence in the middle of the pitch.

Molde sporting director Ole Jakob Strandhagen was equally pleased that the club had secured Daga’s long-term future.

“Daniel is a young and ambitious player with qualities that already make him important to us. At the same time, we believe he has significant potential for further development.

“He is eager to learn, works extremely purposefully every day and has a strong desire to improve,” Strandhagen said.

The sporting director added that Molde were committed to creating the right environment for Daga to continue progressing.

“We have great confidence in Daniel’s continued development, and the club will provide the right conditions for him to keep taking new steps forward.
