Body of 2nd brother who drowned in Nutimik Lake has been recovered: RCMP

Aaron Au Ramirez, 13, jumped in after his younger brother fell into water

After several days of searching Nutimik Lake, the body of Aaron Au Ramirez, 13, has been recovered, according to Manitoba RCMP.

The boy had jumped into the water near Sturgeon Falls on Saturday after his brother Maximo, 10, slipped on some rocks and fell into the lake.

In a news release issued Thursday evening, Lac du Bonnet RCMP confirmed Aaron's body was found in the water at 7:45 p.m.

Maximo's body was found on Wednesday evening.

RCMP said the family has been notified, and thanked the many volunteers and supporting agencies that helped locate the two boys.
