Devotees will soon be able to book for darshan at the Guruvayur Sreekrishna temple through an online virtual queue system, with the Guruvayur Devaswom introducing the facility in compliance with a Kerala High Court directive.

The system will be launched on August 4 and will initially be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Under the new arrangement, devotees can reserve slots online, with up to six persons allowed in a single booking. The temple will permit 300 devotees every hour through the virtual queue, enabling around 2,400 people to have darshan each day under the system.

The Devaswom said the initiative is aimed at streamlining crowd management and making the darshan process more convenient for devotees. The virtual queue system will initially be implemented on a trial basis before being reviewed for further expansion.
