According to Ukrinform, the SSU reported this on Facebook.

“The Security Service’s military counterintelligence unit detained a Russian agent in Dnipro who, on the enemy’s orders, organized a large-scale scheme for the illegal verification of Starlink systems,” the statement reads.

During the investigation, it was established that the man, a native of the Luhansk region, came to the attention of Russian intelligence officers through Telegram channels advertising easy money.

According to the security service, in exchange for money, the perpetrator used credentials provided by a handler in Russia and initially registered a Starlink station in his own name. Subsequently, the agent was instructed to recruit as many people as possible to participate in the clandestine verification of satellite equipment. He decided to activate Starlink systems at postal service branches using the personal information of fictitious persons.

Law enforcement officials determined that, in this manner, the organizer of the criminal scheme verified over 1,000 satellite communication terminals for the enemy.

SSU officers exposed the agent, documented his crimes, and detained him at his place of residence. During a search, a smartphone containing evidence of his work for the enemy was seized from him.

The SSU has blocked all Starlink stations that the suspect illegally registered.

SSU investigators have notified the suspect that he is under investigation under Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (aiding an aggressor state).

As previously reported, in Kyiv, the counterintelligence unit of the Security Service of Ukraine exposed two more Russian agents who, on behalf of Russia’s FSB, were registering Starlink satellite terminals for the Russian military.
