Israeli settlers established three new outposts on Palestinian-owned land in the occupied West Bank on Sunday, the Wafa news agency reported.

Dozens of settlers erected a tent and brought water tanks and storage containers to Tel al-Asur, between the towns of al-Mughayyir and Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah, local sources told Wafa.

The sources said the area had faced escalating violent settler attacks, land seizures and settlement expansion.

Settlers also established outposts on land belonging to Deir Istiya, north of Salfit, and Umm Safa, northwest of Ramallah, earlier on Sunday.

Settlers established 42 outposts on Palestinian-owned land in the first half of 2026, most of them pastoral, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission. These included 13 in Hebron governorate, nine in Ramallah, eight in Nablus and four in Bethlehem.
